Santa Clarita is home to one of the largest theme parks in Southern California.  Six Flags Magic Mountain has been open since 1971 and holds the world record for the most roller coasters in a single park.
Iconic cartoon characters, the Looney Tunes, are used as the theme for the attractions geared towards Six Flags younger visitors.
Junior thrill-seekers take to the sky in Tweety and Sylvester ride inside Six Flags Magic Mountain.
Emma age 7 and Sophia age 4 , residents of Valencia, Ca, get ready to ride the newest ride in Bugs Bunny World the Canyon Coaster.
The girls give the Canyon Coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain four thumbs up!
Emma and Sophia were very excited to pose with Bugs Bunny at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

The Swashbuckler is a ride with topsy-turvy, spinning swings,  located in Santa Clarita, CA at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Emma and Sophia compete to win a prize Friday afternoon at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

The visit to Six Flags Magic Mountain is complete with a final stop at Suzette's Bakery to have one of their famous Funnel Cake Sundaes.

Entry 2

Long week!  Come Wednesday I felt fully recovered from my weekend in Vegas, I was in a sleepy fog for the first part of the week, that is for sure!  Monday I volunteered for my daughters 2nd grade class, Can I just say how much I love her school!  The teachers are amazing and the parent involvement in something else.  My youngest daughter will be starting kindergarten there this fall so I am certain I will be spending more and more time  there as the years pass.  Emma has had the same best friend, Tinley, since kindergarten and its pretty cool to watch their frienship blossom.

Speaking of friendships, I had a bit of a falling out with one of my good friends.  To make a long story short we lost touch since high school when I moved out to California, I truly tried to keep in touch, but to no avail on her end.  It had been nearly 10 years since we last saw one another and just last year her company moved her from Dallas to LA so we were able to meet back up and catch up.  It was great at first we really seemed to have a great time together, but as the months went on I realized how sensitive and vunerable she was and how she was the type of friend you are always walking on eggshells with.  We have had ups and downs where I don't hear from her and she is clearly upset with me, but I never know why.  We are in one of those moments currently and it is so draining that I am ready to just cut my losses with this friendship and let it fizzle out.  One thing I have learned as I go is that with friendships is that they should be easy, the icing on the cake so to speak, so when they get muddled with unnecessary drama  it may come time to  cut ties.

One final note..my brother in law just got a new puppy, a cane corso mastiff he named Bella..and what a beauty she is. Love her already and can't wait to meet her when they come to visit us from Connecticut this summer.

*First Entry*

I had to laugh when I noticed I already had a profile set up on blogger, my purpose was to start a blog to help me kick my starbucks habit.  Needless to say, I never did start that blog and I am still a faithful starbucks customer.  Although, I am still constantly saying I want to give up the habit, especially since I seem to favor the terribly sugar laden high calorie beverages there.  The last couple years my metabolism has really slowed down, oh the joys of my upcoming thirtieth birthday and no longer being able to eat whatever I want without any consquence.  It truly is time to make some lifestyle changes and get back in the shape I was just a few years ago..and moreso, quit saying I am going to make that happen and actually do it!

Here is a picture of me and two of my really good friends in Vegas this past weekend...which was my first girls weekend in over eight years! It is nice that my kids are now old enough where I feel comfortable leaving them for a few  days every now and then and can get out and enjoy myself.  I love being a mom more than anything, but it truely nice to finally be able to devote time to  my identity outside of  just being a  mother.  Well, I suppose thats it for now...until next time  :)
